What styles of horns do you teach?
Our instructors teach all styles, from rock and metal to pop, jazz, funk, country, blues and classical.
How qualified are your horn instructors?
Our horn faculty are graduates of such prestigious institutions as the Berklee College of Music, Oxford University, Temple University, PCPA, the Guitar Institute, University of the Arts, and NYU. Many have toured the US and Europe, bringing over 25 years of professional performance and teaching experience to your lessons.
What will I learn from horn lessons at the Academy?
Our instructors challenge our students with wide-ranging technical exercises designed to improve speed, articulation and comfort. Music language can be complex, and theory is encouraged. Most horn students need help with their school band playing, we can do that. We have strong relationships with all the schools and know what they expect. Students can bring in their favorite songs to learn in their lessons.
Do I need to purchase a horn to learn?
Definitely not.
We rent all instruments starting at $39.50 for 5 months.
